Retrofit Services
All retrofits on Alpacka Rafts are done with Alpacka parts and in compliance with Alpacka standards

About Me
My name is Evan, a repairer-of-boats and boater-of-rivers.
I was the primary Alpacka Raft Repair/Retrofit technician from 2020-2023. During that time, I became proficient with installing Cargo Flies, Temper Assist Valves, Self-Bailing systems, Thigh Straps, Back Bands, and every service that Alpacka provides.
My most rewarding work was reviving boats that seemed beyond repair. This includes packrafts:

- impaled with rebar
- run over by motor boats
- thrown from moving vehicles
- attacked by bears
- chewed on by dogs
- exploded with mechanical air compressors
- and BBQ’d :)
I'm a leading expert in the field of packraft repair and modification.

I also spend much of my time walking-the-walk and packing-the-raft. This is why my services are limited to the offseason (and I encourage you to plan ahead if you intend to send your boat to me). (This info maybe elsewhere?)

Packraft Recycling Program

Packrafts provide easy-access. It's one of the reasons so many of us love the sport. The inaccessible side of packrafting, however, is the expense.

Luckily, getting started as a packrafter doesn't require the latest-and-greatest. A simple boat can take you far. I had a blast in my open boat for six years, before I upgraded.

This is why I am starting a "packraft recycle program." The idea is simple: if you have a boat that is old, outdated, broken, or generally forgotten/unused, you are welcome to send it to me for repair, retrofit, and repurposing.
After I've collected a fleet of usable boats, I will donate them to a worthwhile non-profit organization and tell you where your boat has gone.
In honor of your gift, your boat will receive an artisinal stern-patch with your name. Thus, your name will live through the ages... ;)

This side of Packraft R&R is non-profit and exists purely to spread the joy of packrafting. Send me what you've got!
